A Harry Colt design 18 hole golf course based in Essex established in 1936. On engagement, Maylands was a predominately membership run club with a limited number of outside business. Pin High Golf Group took over in May 2010 with a view to driving all revenue lines and managing the cost base whilst making capital recommendations. Since the takeover, we have regenerated the club through rebranding, training of staff, implementation of a sales plan and a review of all suppliers. This has delivered excellent growth across all sales lines and has weather proofed the business by changing the business mix between golf and function income. We are two years into management and are proud to announce we are ahead of the three plans agreed with the directors.
"We are absolutely delighted to have Pin High operate our clubs in this difficult time. They have absolutely transformed our clubs with their fresh perspective on the golfing model. It goes without saying any club/company would benefit from the expertise of Tony and his team" – Gordon Melhuish Director
A Nine-Hole Golf Course based in the Centre of Stafford steeped in history with the ruins of the old
castle overlooking the course. Traditionally the club was operated by the members as a members
club and passed on to the Luddington Directors in 2007 that had an appetite to develop into an 18
hole course. The club has been granted planning permission to build another nine holes with
a state of the art fit for purpose brand new clubhouse.
Pin High is employed to manage the club on a day to day basis and assist with the development of the new nine and
clubhouse from an operational perspective. Since the beginning of the contract Pin High has reviewed all practices at the
club and made changes to the operation, which offers efficiencies in savings thus delivering a substantial increase to the
profit. Membership growth has been achieved at a club that reported losses six years previous
"We are thrilled and somewhat relieved to have the expertise of Pin High Golf involved in our business. Their knowledge and desire to deliver an outstanding service makes them a pleasure to work with. I have no doubt we will continue to work with this group of people for long time" – Robert Kensey Director
Canterbury is a club going through a transition period as it strives to become more commercially minded. The course was designed by famous architect, Harry Colt back in 1927 and six years ago, the club built a 23 bay covered driving range with funding from Sport England.
The Club has tremendous potential for the future with the ability to become, again, one of the most sought after membership clubs in the county and possibly the South East.
Pin High has been recruited to create a sustainable long term business for all the members to enjoy. We are confident that with the right products, at the right price-point, with the right people creating the right activity, the club will go from strength to strength.
An outstanding 18 hole golf course built to a European Tour standard situated in the Oxfordshire countryside. Heythrop Park Resort boasts a brand new clubhouse and leisure club as well as two hotels with over 350 bedrooms within the grounds.
This club was opened in 2009 and has struggled to deliver an acceptable and sustainable return on the investment. Pin High was recruited in 2013 to review the existing model and increase all revenue lines. We rolled out our strategic plan during 2013/14 commencing with the recruitment of a new management and key personnel team; a compelling membership structure was launched into the market place accumulating in high interest, new membership and increased revenue.
